Want to make your co-op more successful in 2007?
Attend NCBA's Cooperative Conference Wednesday and Thursday, May 2-3,
just outside Washington, D.C., in Arlington, Virginia.
With a theme of building co-op resources, the conference will feature not-to-be-missed sessions on equity
capital and marketing. On Wednesday, a special NCBA task force will present its plan for a co-op capital
investment fund, while marketing experts offer suggestions for increasing sales and stressing the co-op
difference. Featured speakers will discuss potential threats to cooperatives' bottom lines, including
efforts to scale back antitrust exemptions and the growing challenge of demutualization. The next morning,
it's off to Capitol Hill to lobby the House and Senate on behalf of co-ops. Issues will include money for
co-ops and new laws that threaten to rewrite the basic definition of a co-op.
You'll also attend the annual meetings of NCBA, NCB, and the Cooperative Development Foundation and,
on Wednesday night, be able to attend the 2007 Cooperative Hall of Fame gala at the National Press Club.
Don't miss this opportunity to improve your co-op, interact with cooperative business leaders from
across the nation, and be a part of "Co-op Week" in the Nation's Capital. The site is conveniently located
minutes from Washington's Reagan National Airport and 15 minutes from downtown. Act now for the best rates
on your registration and hotel!
