NCBA CLUSA's international mission is to alleviate poverty through economic empowerment. We are a values-based, dynamic organization that is a globally recognized leaders in organizing and equipping people to lead their own development. We apply innovative local solutions and cooperative strategies for economic and social development that continues over time.

THE NCBA CLUSA APPROACH

Based on the seven cooperative principles, the “NCBA CLUSA Approach” asserts that our clients are the decision-makers when it comes to solving their communities’ most pressing development needs. At the core of this community-led approach is the empowerment of people to articulate, promote and manage sustainable, locally generated solutions. Our approach focuses on enhancing the organizational capacity of cooperatives, associations, Civil Society Organizations, local businesses and other entities through practical training in problem-solving, entrepreneurial skills, business skills, technical skills and governance processes. Through village-level groups and groups at the commune, country and district levels, NCBA CLUSA strengthens capacity for the achievement of individual, business, organizational and community goals.
