NCBA CLUSA’s Prepare for IMPACT pre-conference webinars are designed to prepare attendees for discussions at NCBA CLUSA’s 2017 Cooperative IMPACT Conference in October. Under the topic of “Member Engagement Strategies,” we’ll explore three key areas: succession planning, recruitment & retention and training. Our presenters will utilize examples from the purchasing co-op sector to amplify their talking points.
Part 1 of our Succession Planning series featured CEO of Castle Wealth Advisors Gary Pittsford and Executive Director of Project Equity Alison Lingane during a webinar aimed at purchasing co-op management with strategies for engaging their members in succession planning. In Part 2, Pittsford will continue the discussion, but turn the conversation away from management and directly to the co-op member. He’ll review both the options and the process of how a co-op member sells a business to either a family member or to another co-op member.
During this webinar, attendees will:
- Review selling options before the deal is made
- Learn what needs to be in place prior to selling
- Get an inside view of some successful ownership transitions
- Explore common challenges sellers experience
- Engage in extensive Q&A
“Succession Planning, Part 2: Selling to Family & Selling to Members,” is scheduled for Thursday, June 1, 2017 from 2-3 p.m. EDT. Register now!
