The theme can be used on its own or extended with sub-themes, such as Co-ops Commit to Community, Co-ops Commit to Impact, Co-ops Commit to Sustainability and Co-ops Commit to Kindness.
As a product of the Co-op Month Planning Committee—launched at last year’s Institute—the theme will not only unify messaging during the month of October, but also offer customizable resources that reflect the collaborative, cross-sector nature of the committee.
Resources for 2017 National Co-op Month will again be hosted by NCBA CLUSA at coopmonth.coop. Initial logo files are now available; posters, sample press releases, social media graphics, talking points and activity ideas are coming soon!
Co-led this year by NCBA CLUSA and Cooperative Network, the Co-op Month Planning Committee includes representation from the following national, regional and local organizations: National Rural Electric Cooperative Association, National Cooperative Bank, National Co+op Grocers, Organic Valley, the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Rural Business – Cooperative Service, Cooperatives for a Better World, Minnesota Cooperative Education Foundation, Flint Energies, Hanover Co-op Food Stores and Tri-Country Electric Co-op.
National Co-op Month is observed annually in October. NCBA CLUSA will kick off this year’s celebration at the Co-op Festival on the National Mall September 30 and October 1.
