This #GivingTuesday, thousands of charities and foundations are harnessing holiday generosity to impact the causes they believe matter most. But there’s only one that makes a difference through cooperative development across sectors.
That’s the message Rich Larochelle, chair of the Cooperative Development Foundation’s Board of Directors, shares in a video message released today.
“CDF is unique because it’s the only foundation that uses the cooperative business model as the vehicle to make a difference,” Larochelle said. “That’s why I contribute to CDF and I hope that this holiday season, you’ll consider a contribution to CDF also.”

Entering its sixth year, #GivingTuesday couples the potential of social media with the generosity of people around the world to bring about real change in their communities. Last year, the movement drew the participation of people and organizations in 98 countries and raised $177 million online.
