On Tuesday, May 22, from 1-1:45 p.m., the Partnership for Advancing an Inclusive Rural Energy Economy will present a webinar on rural electric cooperatives that provide their members inclusive energy efficiency programs—saving them money while supporting local economic development.
This webinar will include information about the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA)'s Rural Utilities Services (RUS) loan program that co-ops can take advantage of to help deliver these benefits. Register now for this webinar to learn how to access these funds!
Webinar speakers include Doug O'Brien, president and CEO of NCBA CLUSA; Curtis Wynn, president and CEO of Roanoke Electric Cooperative; and Mike Couick, president and CEO of The Electric Cooperatives of South Carolina.
Roanoke Electric's "Upgrade to $ave" program and The Electric Cooperatives of South Carolina's "Help My House" program both offer on-bill financing to help members afford cost-saving home energy upgrades. Member repay their co-op over time as part of their monthly bill, and the programs are designed so that members of all income levels can participate.
This Partnership for Advancing an Inclusive Rural Energy Economy is a collaboration between NCBA CLUSA and the Environmental and Energy Study Institute.
