Varga was nominated for her leadership in numerous areas, including her leadership on the CDP Global unit, supporting the start-up phase for NCBA CLUSA's new USDA SAFE project in the Dominican Republic, and for her development of several innovative tools to help streamline processes and procedures and support knowledge management.

Varga is a “go-to” resource on NCBA CLUSA's program management team and a unifying figure in the organization between our international program and domestic membership services teams, and between international program units and service departments. In addition to her management of international programs, you may have recently met Varga at the 2016 Consumer Cooperative Management Association (CCMA) Conference in Amherst, Massachusetts, where she spoke about the Farmer-to-Farmer program and working with members and the National Co+op Grocers through NCBA CLUSA's Co-op to Co-op trade program.

“This is a terrific opportunity to recognize people who don’t often get recognized…, who do a lot of work behind the scenes,” said Jim Sailor, InsideNGO’s Chairman of the Board, during last year’s Excellence Awards ceremony.

The Inside NGO Excellence Awards recognize individuals who are making outstanding contributions to their organization and the NGO community at large.
Varga will receive her honorable mention at a July 13 awards ceremony during InsideNGO's Annual Conference.
