For more than 50 years, NCBA's CLUSA International Program has worked in developing countries to economically empower individuals and communities through the development of sustainable cooperative businesses and other community-based organizations focused on agriculture and agribusiness development, forestry and natural resource management, improving community health and promoting democracy and governance.
Cooperative development, both at home and abroad, is a critical component of NCBA's mission. Since 1953 when our work began in India, NCBA has managed over 200 long-term projects in 55 countries and has performed over 1,000 short-term consultancies in 81 countries. Working side-by-side with cooperatives and community members, NCBA helps lift people out of poverty.
